Golden Scout — Tower Defense Simulator Guide

Category: DPS

Unlock: 50,000 Coins

Detection: Hidden, Lead

Placement Limit: None (unlimited)

Tier Rating: A

Total Upgrade Cost: $7,000

Golden Scout upgrades the free base Scout tower into a much harder-hitting fast attacker, keeping Scout's cheap, rapid-fire identity while adding significantly more damage per shot and, by Level 3, both Hidden and Lead detection. It's one of the more affordable Golden towers to fully upgrade, and it doubles as the feeder tower for the Operator evolution line.

Golden Scout Stats Per Level

DPS by Level Lv0 2.5 Lv1 4.0 Lv2 10.0 Lv3 28.3 Lv4 56.7
Upgrade Cost by Level Lv0 $250 Lv1 $150 Lv2 $600 Lv3 $2,400 Lv4 $3,600
Level Upgrade Cost Damage Cooldown Range DPS
0 250 2 0.8 14 2.5

2 600 5 0.5 15 10
3 2400 34 1.2 17.5 28.33
4 3600 34 0.6 17.5 56.67

Note: Firerate improves to 0.6 (max level, DPS peaks at 56.67). Feeds experience toward evolving into Operator (20 Evolution Levels; this page states base EXP 50/growth rate 1.09 for that mechanic, which differs from Operator's own page value of 75/1.075 — flagged as a wiki inconsistency; skip cost stated here as 499 Robux).

How to Get Golden Scout

Scout itself is free to unlock; apply the Golden Perk on top of it for 50,000 Coins via the Golden Crate, or 55,000 Coins if bought directly from the Daily Store.

Is Golden Scout Worth It?

Good value for its relatively low max-level cost ($7,000 on top of the 50,000-Coin perk), offering solid all-around detection and respectable DPS.

Its damage output isn't the highest among Golden towers, so it's best viewed as a well-rounded utility DPS tower rather than a top damage dealer.

Its main long-term draw for many players is feeding into Operator, since Scout's Coordination/Shared Optics synergy at the Operator stage rewards early investment here.

Best Loadouts With Golden Scout

Works well as an early-to-mid coverage tower thanks to its combined Hidden+Lead detection from Level 3 onward.

Pairs naturally with other fast-firing towers when stacking firerate-boosting support like Commander or DJ Booth.
