Slime Trooper — Tower Defense Simulator Guide
Category: Support
Unlock: 300 Coins
Detection: Hidden, Flying
Placement Limit: None (unlimited)
Tier Rating: D
Total Upgrade Cost: $8,150
Slime Trooper is a cheap, no-placement-limit support tower that combines direct damage with a reliable slow effect on every hit. It starts as a single-target attacker and switches to Splash damage with a 2.5-radius explosion at its max Level 4, and it steadily gains detection (Hidden at Level 2, Flying at Level 4) as it upgrades, though it never detects Lead enemies. Because it's unlocked for only 300 Coins, it's one of the very first towers most players can place.

How to Get Slime Trooper
Unlocked for 300 Coins, available from the very start of the game with no other requirements.
Is Slime Trooper Worth It?
Excellent early-game pick thanks to its low cost and no placement limit — spamming several copies gives strong map-wide slow coverage.
Its slow effect (up to 22.5% for 5 seconds at max level) makes other DPS towers more effective by keeping enemies in range longer.
It falls off in pure damage output at higher difficulties since it has no Lead detection and relatively modest max DPS, so it's best kept as a support/slow tower rather than a primary damage dealer.

Best Loadouts With Slime Trooper
Pairs well with any high-DPS tower that benefits from enemies moving slower, such as Minigunner, Ranger, or Golden Minigunner.
Multiple Slime Troopers placed along a path can stack slow uptime, useful on maps with long straight stretches.
